So excited about the new year...2012! Amazing, almost three years under our belt...or should I say under our bag? It seems since the beginning of Posh Purse, I've experienced almost every emotion possible. excitement, anxious, creative, amused, determined, cranky, ecstatic, frustrated, loved, disappointed, amused, accomplished, confused, cheerful, annoyed, productive, stressed, relieved, amused, hopeful, thankful, surprised! Like I said before, I am so excited about this new year and what direction it will take Posh Purse. I am hopeful, thankful (for my family, friends, all my wonderful customers, and of course my loyal Facebook fans, and Tweeters), and so ready to take Posh Purse and go for the ride...along with whatever emotions that might bring. | Surprise! It's cold outside! |

Fall has a way of sneaking up on me. Begrudgingly, I am switching my closet from Summer to Fall. I tend to drag my feet with the thoughts of giving up those long Summer days. One day I wake up and "Surprise"!! It's cold outside! Ugh! That dreaded day when Summer ends. I proceed to scour through my closet in a half hazard attempt to find something to wear...something suitable for FALL and preferably something that will make me happy to give up my flip flops for another year. Yesterday, I experienced one of those "crazy" mornings...so today I finally gave into the change in the season. It never fails. I go through this every year when Summer ends and Fall is here. Donna |

| Polka Dot Trend: Yes? No? |

What do you think of the polka dot trend? Marc Jacobs is showing the trend from head to toe in the September issue of In Style. I do recall a little black and white polka dot mini skirt I wore in my early twenties. Now picture this! I'm 5'4" and my bff Terry, a mere 5'10", loved to borrow that polka dot mini skirt. Terry had a way of turning heads no matter what she wore, but this was my favorite: crisp white shirt, my black and white polka dot mini, black above the knee boots with a cuff at the top, and a black bag with a small yellow scarf draped from the handle. Yes, I was quite impressed with this outfit, but due to some minor height issues, I could never pull off the above the knee boot trend...not to mention the polka dot mini was a much shorter version on my bff. As far as trends go...I'm thinking a small amount of polka dots go a long way. Donna |

| Let's Go Casual/Chic |

Have you ever worked out then made a stop at the grocery store...in your work-out clothes? I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets hungry from working out. Or there's the tennis match that runs off so many calories that we need to quickly replace, so we go out to lunch...in our tennis outfit. Guilty on both counts! So let's try a different look, while keeping it relaxed and easy. Start with a white T, jeans and flip flops. Add your handbag (the best accessory), throw on a colorful scarf, grab those perfect shades and you're ready to go! It's just that simple! Voila! Casual/Chic! Donna |

FYI Some say the color green is actually unlucky in Ireland...because it is the leprechaun's favorite color. One explanation to the "Wearing of the green"...Back in the 18th century, the Irish people would wear green so they'd be invisible to the leprechauns (who would pinch anyone they could see). | Spring is Bursting with Color |

Spring is all about color. And bold, vibrant color is a fabulous way to accessorize! We're talking satchels in siren red! What a statement when wearing a neutral outfit! Or there's the hobo in cobalt blue. A gorgeous shade against a white, gray, or black ensemble. The Spring bags in green are reminiscent of the tropics! Step out and choose color for Spring. We find that a gorgeous bag in a rich, bold color adds pizzazz to any wardrobe. |

| Peek Into Our Closets |

Let's take a peek into our closets. As an example, the hangers in my closet are draped with mostly neutral or black articles of clothing...along with several pairs of my favorite jeans, and of course a few white shirts. Choosing neutrals for my clothing allows me to accessorize with gorgeous bright color! I tend to choose a monochromatic look, all black, all neutral...anything to boost the height issue. This makes accessorizing interesting, fun, and so easy! Let's talk accessorizing with handbags! A yellow bag is just stunning with shades of gray. Add a pop of color to a khaki outfit with a bright red or orange bag. If you're wearing navy, imagine adding a green satchel or a vibrant purple tote - now that's a show stopper! This idea is also a knockout look with jeans! Wearing soft white.....a handbag in dark nude or rich tan completes this sophisticated look. Also love this color accessory with black. Just a few ideas you may want to toss around in your closet.....have fun! Donna |

| Preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner |

Waiting for five young elves to arrive to help with Thanksgiving Dinner preparation. We begin cooking, chopping, and baking the day before...mainly because we simply love getting together. Also, preparing Thanksgiving dinner can actually be just as enjoyable as eating the dinner. Last year we had a real chopping veggies fest! The table has been decorated and place cards (made by young elves) have found their proper places. I am especially thankful this Thanksgiving for these young elves as well as for the two small elves that can't make it this year. If they enjoy Thanksgiving with all the special preparation half as much as I do then I would say "We're in a good place". Happy Thanksgiving Donna |

While talking with a customer this morning, she was saying how much she loves the Hugh Satchel by Botkier. She especially likes the look of the bag with the clasp in the front. While totally agreeing with her, I proceeded to explain to her that the bag can be accessed through the back zipper without undoing the clasp...well that was just icing on the cake. Donna |
